Our legal pages are published in English. If you have a question about them in another language, write to info@btsf.org.

Who we are

This website is operated by Beyond The Sidelines Foundation, Inc. ("BTSF", "we", "us"), a Georgia nonprofit corporation recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) public charity. You can reach us at info@btsf.org.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you contact us through the website or by email, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your name, email address, organization and message. When you donate, our payment processor collects the information needed to process your gift (name, email, billing address and payment details); BTSF receives your name, contact details and the amount and designation of your gift, but never your full card number.

Information collected automatically. Our web host records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested and time of request) for security and troubleshooting. If we enable privacy-friendly analytics, it collects aggregated, anonymized usage statistics without cookies or personal identifiers. The site stores your language preference in your browser so that it is remembered on your next visit; this information never leaves your device.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to respond to your messages, process and acknowledge donations, send receipts and legally required disclosures, administer volunteer and partnership relationships, keep the website secure, and understand in aggregate how the site is used. If you ask to receive updates from us, we will use your email address to send them; you can unsubscribe at any time.

Donor privacy

BTSF does not sell, rent, trade or share donor information with any other organization, and does not send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations. We disclose donor information only with the donor's consent (for example, in a list of supporters), to our payment processor and bank in order to process a gift, or where required by law.

Children

This website is intended for adults and for young people aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this website. Photographs or names of young participants in programs we support are published only with written consent from a parent or guardian and in accordance with the partner program's own rules.

Cookies and similar technologies

The website uses only the technologies that are strictly necessary for it to work (for example, your saved language preference). Third-party services embedded on the site — such as the donation form and web fonts — may set their own cookies or collect information under their own privacy policies.

Where information is processed

BTSF is based in the United States and processes information there. If you access the site from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those of your country.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, to object to certain processing, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, email info@btsf.org. We will respond within 30 days.

Retention and security

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above and to meet our legal and accounting obligations (donation records are retained for at least seven years). We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to a small volunteer-run organization, and we rely on established third-party providers for payment processing and hosting.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Significant changes will be announced on this page.
